Sam Nolte

Apprentice

Sam began dancing in a little town near the northwestern border of Wisconsin at the age of five. She danced competitively through high school, and then moved to Ann Arbor where she attended the University of Michigan for a year. During that time, she choreographed and performed with the RhythM Tap Ensemble. However, she then realized that dance was all she wanted to do! Deciding to take her dance training to the next level, she transferred to the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Dance. At UWSP, Sam studied tap dance under Jeannie Hill, and had the opportunity to work with Billy Siegenfeld, artistic director of Jump Rhythm Jazz. She graduated in May 2011.

Since graduating, Sam has performed in interactive theatre venues such as the Bristol Renaissance Faire and Fear City Haunted House. She attended the CTT audition in hopes of getting some great audition and tap experience, and here she is! She is so excited to spend her first year in the city as an apprentice with CTT, and can’t wait to see what the year brings!
