2022 Summer Intensives
Register now for Chicago Tap Theatre's 2022 Summer Intensives.
The three or four day intensives which will be available in both intermediate and advanced levels are open to anyone over the age of 10. The intensives will run June 20-22 and July 12-15. Intensives will be held in person at Visceral Dance Center in Chicago.
The theme of the June 20-22 intensive is The CTT Experience where students will experience what it is like to be a Chicago Tap Theatre performer as they take company class, discover more about tap dance history and jazz music, learn choreography and clean it in anticipation of a performance. During the July 12-15 intensive, which has the theme of, Finding Your Artistic Voice, students will explore the art of tap dancing and discover their own individual artistic voice through choreography and improvisation.
Students will leave with a better understanding of who they are as artists and how to better express that through tap dance! Both intensives will allow students to develop their musicality, learn choreography, deepen their knowledge of tap history and most importantly, make friends.
The intensive will conclude with a showing for parents on the final day. Our Artistic Director Mark Yonally and Rehearsal Director Sterling Harris will lead the intensives.
