Michelle Haskell
Apprentice
Michelle Haskell (she/her), is a dancer and choreographer from Cincinnati, Ohio. She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a BFA in Dance and Choreography focused in contemporary modern dance. After graduating, Michelle rekindled her love for tap through teaching and, after moving to Chicago, taking classes with Chicago Tap Theatre. Before VCU, she performed with The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra and traveled nationally as a backup dancer for the recording artist named EBEN. While attending VCU, Michelle performed at the American College Dance Association, The Institute for Contemporary Art in Richmond, and, while in Australia, Space 28. She has had the privilege to work and train with choreographers such as David Neumann, Lucy Guerin, and Brianna Kell. Before moving to Chicago, Michelle joined the dance company Pones Inc, a community inclusive organization based in her hometown, Cincinnati, OH. Outside of the dance realm, she is a professional singer and actress who recently starred in the feature film Imagined and danced in the Netflix film White Noise. Choreographically, this past summer, Michelle was able to present her own work in J e l l o: The Return. She is incredibly grateful for the friends and family who have supported her this far. Michelle is excited for what experiences lie ahead in her first season with CTT!
